Class Descriptions

All classes run 75 minutes except Friday's restorative, which runs 90 minutes.

Beginners: The Beginners Series is for those who are brand new to yoga and those who would like a refresher. Start at the beginning, learning the basic yoga postures, how to move into and safely hold them.

Level I: Level I classes are for people who are already familiar with basic asana and are looking to learn other simple postures at a moderate pace. Learn to use the breath to build strength and stamina as more advanced asana is introduced.

Level II: Level II moves at a brisk pace to build strength and heat in the body. Deepen your understanding of more advanced poses as you continue to gain flexibility and stamina.

Level III: Level III flow is a vigorous, athletic practice for the advanced asana practitioner. The class includes inversions, strong vinyasa and more advanced pranayama practices. It will energize you and make you sweat.

Core Class: Core classes combine elements of Pilates and yoga and focus on strengthening the abdominal and low back muscles. The strength of these muscles is essential for the safety of the spine when practicing yoga, sports or any physical activity.

Restorative: A gentle and relaxing class, it begins with some simple stretching and leads you into a series of restorative poses. Most poses are done on the floor, many with the assistance of props for support.

Prenatal: This 6-week series strengthens the pregnant woman's body to support her throughout her pregnancy, labor and post-delivery. Yoga can help to create ease and build endurance, while deepening the connection with baby. All levels welcome; it is best to check with your doctor before beginning.

Postnatal: This class focuses on the mother, addressing common issues of the postpartum body. Babies are welcome, as are dads and other caregivers. For all levels of experience.
